For high security applications, BILCO automatic smoke vents can be supplied with burglar bars to prevent unauthorized building entry. Burglar bars are 3/4” (19 mm) in diameter and are welded in place in the smoke vent opening. Bars are typically welded at 6” (1.52 cm) and 12” (3.05 cm) on center and are available on both steel and aluminum smoke vents.
